Lady Gao Talks and DIVAS (Divinely Inspired Victorious And Serving Ladies) are pleased to announce that Pastor Gaopalelwe
Saleka is the proud recipient of the international HOPEE Award. The award, which was founded in America in 2019 by Dr. Rosalind Lewis Tompkins, recognises individuals who help empower people and provide hope to their
communities. Dr. Tompkins – founder of the nonprofit organisation, Mothers in Crisis – presented the award to Pastor Saleka at the Women of Virtue Conference and Hope Immersion Retreat held on Saturday, 19 August. Pastor Gaopalelwe said the award means a great deal to her as an African woman. “This award means heaven’s approval of the work that I do to ignite hope in the communities. I feel it is God saying ‘yes’ to the work that I do in encouraging and impacting communities and bringing hope to the hopeless. It is a stamp of approval that says I am on the right path.”

Pastor Gaopalelwe, the author of 7 Steps of Realignment, added that we all are born to fulfill God’s purpose. “Finding your purpose and living it is the best part. When we live our purpose, we don’t work to get awards but to get fulfilment and joy of doing what I was born to
do. It also becomes effortless when you live your purpose. “Congratulations to Lady Saleka of Revival Baptist Church for receiving an
international HOPEE Award! Well deserved, keep up the good work! The Hope Immersion Retreat Workshop was a resounding success. I’m looking forward to working with you in the Practice of Hopeology,” she said.

Dr. Tompkins visited South Africa as part of her Hope Tour. The Hope Life Coach coined the term “hopeology” over a decade ago and turned it into a worldwide movement. She calls herself a hopeologist and has been spreading her message of hope through her humanitarian work in Jamaica, Turkey and several countries in Africa.

Dr. Tompkins said Pastor Gaopalelwe winning the HOPEE Award is “well deserved”. The award has encouraged the international speaker to take her practice as a Life and Relationship Coach to the next level. She has big plans for future projects and hopes to spread hope in other parts of Africa as a hopeologist. “It gives me an opportunity to enlarge the Circle of Hope that I started in 2020.

I am also looking forward to partnering with more like-minded people to assist families in the African continent with feeding the hungry, paying school fees for orphans, buying uniforms and granting them start up packages for business. I want to empower more girls and women to spread the message of hope in their fields, church and communities by creating Young Girls Academy that focuses on teaching soft skills such as etiquette, deportment, relationship and marriage 101 and parenting,” Pastor Gaopalelwe said. Lady Gao, as she is passionately called, says she will continue to be a beacon of hope for on the African continent and beyond.
