Following the highly successful debut at Nirox Sculpture Park, Capitec handmadeAFRICA will make its second inspiring appearance when it sets up shop in the heart of the Oxford Parks Precinct in Rosebank, Johannesburg, for a vibrant two-day festive market celebrating African creativity and cuisine.

On Friday 28th and Saturday 30th November, visitors will experience over 50 of the continent’s greatest designers in the Capitec handmadeAFRICA travelling boutique alongside food offerings from some of South Africa’s leading fine-dining institutions.
Capitec handmadeAFRICA offers a curated selection of unique, high-quality handmade collectables from designers working in Accra, Nairobi, Cape Town, Gaborone, Dakar and further afield. It’s an ideal time to shop for exclusive, one-of-a-kind gifts that celebrate African craftsmanship and creativity, while supporting local artisans and their work.
Moving from fashion, accessories, home décor, and artisanal goods, visitors will also taste the unexpected. The Oxford Parks restaurants will bring the best of their culinary artistry to the walkways of the Precinct, offering “street food” versions of their celebrated menus. This is a rare chance to enjoy accessible, yet exciting flavours from celebrated chefs and fine establishments. Whether you’re craving inventive small plates, indulgent treats, or fresh signature dishes, the market will have something to delight every palate.
While a lineup of DJs, choirs and a free comedy show add a touch of cool to the atmosphere, guests will be able to roll up their festive sleeves for some hands-on workshops. Professional gift-wrapping sessions, cocktail demonstrations, and personal in-store styling consultations will make the holiday season preparations a whole lot of fun.
Children won’t be a reason to stay at home either. A kids’ programme will keep them creatively engaged, giving adults the freedom to explore, shop and socialise.
Entrance is free, but access is controlled. To make your arrival hassle-free, and to give you access to the underground parking offer, we encourage visitors to purchase your R100 ticket voucher ahead of time. This can be redeemed at any of the participating food and beverage vendors. Children under the age of 12 do not need a voucher to gain entry.
