Fresh off the announcement of ASAKE as the headliner for AfroFuture Festival in Ghana, AfroFuture — the visionary cultural brand by Culture Management Group LLC — is bringing its magic to new territories. The brand has officially launched CURATED BY CULTURE (CBC), a new live experience property set to spotlight African artistry through intimate, high-impact events across the continent.
And it’s kicking off with a major moment: ASAKE LIVE in South Africa this January.
CBC marks the next chapter in AfroFuture’s evolution. While the AfroFuture Festival in Ghana continues to serve as the brand’s flagship cultural celebration — and Culture Beach Jam offers a sun-soaked blend of music and adventure — CURATED BY CULTURE is all about championing genre-defining artists in immersive, thoughtfully produced live settings.
Now, for the very first time, South African audiences will have the opportunity to witness the explosive energy of Afrobeats superstar ASAKE on stage. The global hitmaker, known for an electrifying blend of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and Fuji-influenced street pop, is set to deliver a performance that promises to be both sonically powerful and visually stunning.
Fans can expect a vibrant mix of ASAKE’s biggest hits — from “Lonely at the Top” to “Organise” — alongside the hypnotic Amapiano rhythms that have shaped the sound of modern African music. The show is set to feature high-octane choreography, bold visuals, and world-class production that seamlessly merge Afrobeats swagger with South Africa’s unmistakable groove.
“South Africa has long been a heartbeat of global music and creativity; its sound, its energy, and its people have influenced culture far beyond its borders,” says Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and Co-Founder of AfroFuture. “With CURATED BY CULTURE, our goal is to create experiences that honour these cultural powerhouses across Africa. Launching in Johannesburg with Asake felt like the perfect way to set the tone: bold, unapologetic, and deeply rooted in Africa’s rhythm.”
