Held annually in the Kingdom of Lesotho, Moshoeshoe Walk retraces the path Basotho King Moshoeshoe I took as he led his people to safety, reaching the destination of Thaba Bosiu as he united his tribe. The walk attracts enthusiasts from all over the world, most especially the SADC region in the continent, with about 750 participants who graced the walk

Amongst the countries that participated in 2020 include the likes of South Africa, Botswana, Eswatini, who joined massive crowds of walkers from Lesotho, led by His Majesty King Letsie III together with Her Majesty the Queen.

The walk starts in the village of Menkhoaneng and ends at Thaba Bosiu Cultural Village, with break stops in between each day of the journey to Thaba Bosiu, over a period of three jam packed days of discovering adventure and fun.

Moshoeshoe Walk comes with rich history and brings an opportunity to explore the adventure the mountains come with, cultural experience of the Basotho people and tourism amongst others that one can look forward to in this adventure ultimate human challenge to greatness.

With the COVID-19 vaccine being currently rolled out in some parts of the SADC region, the rest of the continent and the world, there is optimism that the walk will successfully take place next year as scheduled for the 10th – 12th March 2022, promising to be bigger and better.
