The Success Women Want report found that 50% of women worry about their everyday safety and security. Their road to success is not paved with career moves or financial gain, but by the ability simply to move around, free of fear. Even in their cars, women are afraid of unlit roads or breaking down far from help and of being stopped, even by police. Women take all sorts of measures to feel more secure, including planning routes and texting their locations and trip departure and arrival to loved ones.
Momentum Insure recognises how this anxiety impacts women’s freedom of movement.
As part of its #SheOwnsHerSuccess campaign, Momentum Insure has launched a series of road safety videos educating women on how to better protect themselves and their vehicles and on the new features of their app that enhance the security of their female clients.
“Momentum Insure offers more than protection through its policies; it offers reassurance by seeing women and being there for them – whether that’s an emergency response on the app, or a friendly voice at the other end of the phone when you most need to hear one,” said Dipesh Radia.
Despite 47% of its insured clientele being female, only 41% of claims come from women, and so Momentum Insure is helping women to overcome any reluctance to claim by making the process easier and more human. At the same time, they can help give women their confidence to get back in the car and on the road after an accident.
Momentum Insure’s Road Safety Series is empowering women on their literal and figurative journeys – teaching them the ‘code of the road’. Presented by popular actress and comedian Nina Hastie with expert advice from racing driver and instructor Fabienne Lanz and Momentum Insure Chief Commercial Officer and safety guru Dipesh Radia, the series covers topics such as road trip preparedness, dealing with the aftermath of an accident and claim, and the use of technology to protect yourself.
In short, entertaining bite-sized episodes, the series unpacks the peace of mind and reassurance that comes with insuring with Momentum, including app features such as Safe Dayz that monitors and rewards safe driving, Accident Alert that uses your phone’s sensors to ensure you emergency assistance in case of an accident, and Safety Alert, a digital panic button that is available to the policy holder and a loved one, keeping you safe at all times.
Windscreen, hail, geyser, and car accident claims can be managed end-to-end on the Momentum App, but for anyone feeling uncertain after an accident and who needs a human touch, all agents are trained to handle claims sensitively as well as efficiently. The series also helps guide women on staying informed, including knowing when insurance may not cover you (if your vehicle is unroadworthy, for example).
The series is invaluable for all women looking to reclaim their right to inhabit the road safely, including at night. Cracking the code of the road – how to handle yourself, your vehicle and the insurance process after a road incident – are all covered in the series. This reinforces Momentum Insure’s promise of helping you feel safe.
