The 23^rd Joy of Jazz makes its return this November as a 2-day event and seasoned DJ and music producer, Kinetic, is set to take on the newly announced ‘Lounge Jazz Stage’ at the critically acclaimed South African event.

Versatile and talented, Kinetic’s sound is not limited to just one genre; his sound can be best described as the sound of the present, the past and future.Although well known for pioneering the House music genre, Kinetic is excited and determined to showcase, highlight and display his level of music knowledge on the Lounge Jazz Stage.

Kinetic is experienced in bringing forth the Nu Jazz, Bossa, Neo Soul, Acid Jazz and Chill Hop music genres. He also experiments with Lounge music in his productions and in the near future plans to release Lounge music.Kinetic’s productions are now played and enjoyed worldwide in places such as Miami, UK, Germany and parts of the African continent. His inspiration is drawn from sounds of Lounge, Electronic, Deep, Tech, Soul and Afro House music.

Says Kinetic: “I’ve been a music enthusiast my entire life. I feel like it’s been leading up to this moment where I get to showcase my DJ abilities at such a prestigious event, playing a genre as complex as Lounge Jazz.”

The 2022 Joy of Jazz is a leading brand on the South African Jazz calendar and will be celebrating two decades of brilliance this year with international names, as well as South Africa’s very own great talent.
