Monkey Shoulder Teams Up with Shimza to Turn Up the Sound of “Nothing Beats Now”
Global whisky brand Monkey Shoulder has partnered with internationally acclaimed South African DJ and producer Shimza as its official DJ Ambassador for Afro House and Afro Tech, bringing its “Nothing Beats Now” attitude to life through music, culture and Orange Hour.
The partnership brings together a global whisky brand and one of the artists helping take South African sound to audiences around the world. Shimza will appear across a series of Monkey Shoulder experiences in Johannesburg, Cape Town and KwaZulu-Natal, centred on one simple idea: Nothing Beats Now.
Shimza has built an international career by doing things his own way. From South African dance floors to global stages, he has helped push Afro House and Afro Tech into new spaces while continuing to champion the culture and sounds that shaped him.
Monkey Shoulder has always had a similar appetite for doing things differently. Made from three single malts and created with a less conventional approach to whisky, the brand has found a natural home in music, street art and with people who have little interest in following the usual script.
The partnership feels like a natural meeting of two bold personalities: a global whisky brand and a South African sound pioneer, both with international reach, a strong sense of culture and very little interest in the ordinary.
Golden hour had a good run. Introducing: Orange Hour.
