Queerwell is pleased to announce the first LGBTIAQ+ Mental Health Conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. The aim of the conference is to highlight the mental health issues of the community, educate communities and empower them to gain more understanding of mental health issues and know what resources exist to assist them. This conference will be hosted at Constitution Hill and will have 200 participants. Various panel discussions led by mental health experts including Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Counsellors will be conducted. The theme of the conference is The Importance of Self Care in Mental Health and the topics addressed will be;
- Making mental health accessible to the LGBTIAQ+
- Depression and Anxiety
- Substance abuse
- Intimate Partner Violence
- Self-love and Self-care
