The Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA) brought industry stakeholders together for a charity golf day in support of the Hope SA Foundation.

Held at the Houghton Golf Club on 18 August 2026, the event brought together representatives from the vehicle rental and leasing industry, business partners, sponsors and other stakeholders for a day of networking, collaboration and fundraising.

SAVRALA also took the opportunity, during Women’s Month, to recognise and celebrate the women who participated in the event.

The proceeds of the golf day will support the work of Hope SA Foundation, helping to advance its efforts to uplift and empower vulnerable communities through initiatives that provide essential support, opportunities and hope to those who need it most.

Sandile Ntseoane, General Manager of SAVRALA, said the initiative reflects the association’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to communities beyond its role representing the vehicle rental and leasing sector.

“This golf day reflects what our industry can achieve when we work together with purpose,” said Ntseoane. “We are grateful to our sponsors for their generosity, and to every partner and participant who helped make the day possible. Their support allows us to turn industry collaboration into practical impact, working alongside Hope SA Foundation to reach communities in need.”

Namritha Sivsanker, CEO of Hope SA Foundation, said: “The SAVRALA Charity Golf Day is a powerful example of what can be achieved when industry leadership and community purpose come together. Every contribution made today will help us extend hope, dignity and practical support to those who need it most.”

SAVRALA said it hopes to build on the success of the initiative and continue creating opportunities for industry collaboration in support of Hope SA Foundation and its important work in vulnerable communities.
