
Wednesday 12th February, marked a significant milestone for the critically acclaimed film “The Last Ranger” as it welcomed new executive producers legendary Grammy Award-winning African music icon Lebo M and his production company Till Dawn Entertainment, and Anele Mdoda and her production company Rose and Oaks media
The announcement was made at a special screening of the film at Monte Casino, attended by prominent South African press, government officials, including Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and Environment, Mr. Narend Singh.
“The Last Ranger” tells the poignant story of the ongoing struggle against rhino poaching in South Africa. It highlights the bravery and sacrifice of conservation groups and rangers who risk their lives daily to protect these majestic creatures. The film sheds light on the devastating impact of poaching on local communities and the environment, sparking a necessary conversation about the importance of conservation and wildlife preservation.
Directed by Cindy Lee and produced by Six Feet Films (Darwin Shaw) in collaboration with co-writer Will Hawkes, the film boasts a talented cast, including Avumile Qongqo as Kushelwa and Liyabona Mroqoza as her young protégé Litha.

With its Oscar nomination, the team behind “The Last Ranger” is gearing up for the Academy Awards in Los Angeles in March, with hopes of bringing home the coveted golden statue.
