TRACE AFRICA brings it home to Mzansi – a countdown to the ‘TRACE AFRICA takeover’ Party

With Africa Day approaching in just a few days to come, TRACE Africa has confirmed its new brand direction to increase airplay of the best and freshest Southern African music on the channel.

In a further commitment to remain at the forefront of entertainment trends and movements, TRACE Africa plans to launch a differentiated, memorable and unexpected music experience for their audiences, with an injection of more homegrown hits.

The offering: a  brand new tone of voice and direction to be ‘the pulse of Mzansi streets’. And a lot more local music!

Also as a dedication to the celebration of the streets of Mzansi and the launch of the new brand repositioning, TRACE Africa will be hosting their first music takeover this year.

‘THE TRACE AFRICA TAKE OVER will take place at the Altitude Beach in Fourways on Saturday, 22^nd May and will feature some of South Africa’s finest headliners including: BOITY, BLACK MOTION, LEMON AND HERB, DBN GOGO, LERATO KGANYAGO, DJ SPEEDSTA, PRINCE KAYBEE, DJ NEL, MDOOVAR, DJ FAE FAE and 2PM DJS.

Talking about the brand’s positioning and how it represent the continent, Trace’s Managing Director off Southern Africa & Regional Director Anglophone Africa Valentine Gaudin-Muteba said, “TRACE Africa has been established as the destination for African music with a huge support of Southern African music over the past few years. With the brand’s ongoing  commitment of empowerment, we are excited about this new direction to inject more South African music onto the channel” .
